Furnishing solutions in the name of material mix, innovation and technology

For 2022, Emu offers increasingly complete furnishing solutions, in the name of innovation and development of the material mix. Some historic collections in steel and aluminum are presented with seats in teak, a new look that gives the furnishings the warmth typical of pure wood. The Holly collection is new, consisting of an armchair, a relaxing armchair and a footrest, inspired by the historic and iconic sunbed, which has become an Emu best-seller: a family of furnishings with comfortable lines, designed for environments in marine contexts. On the collaborative front, the Lucidi-Pevere studio signs the Tiki bed this year; while the Apero collection is the result of the partnership with Martin Drechsel.

Tiki Collection by Lucidi-Pevere

Tiki is the new sunbed with a minimal and essential design, whose light and soft silhouette allows to emphasize aesthetics and function. A "technological" bed designed in every detail. Thanks to minimized mechanisms and an innovative fastening system, the fabric is enhanced to the maximum, allowing it to be easily replaced.

Apero Collection by Martin Drechsel

In the Apero collection (chair, armchair and stool), the characteristic design of the German wooden seat is reinterpreted in a contemporary key. Thanks to the company's know-how in metal processing, the seat and back in metal rod offer visual lightness and the silhouette appears continuous and thin, in a play of light between horizontal and vertical lines that projects a curious pattern of stripes and squares on the surfaces. The minimal and graphic appearance allows Apero to adapt to any type of environment and style.

Holly Collection - Design Emu

The new Holly collection is inspired by the historic and iconic sunbed with the characteristic “S” shape, which has become an Emu best-seller. Armchair and relax stand out for their lightness and for the design with contemporary and harmonious lines, to which is added a footrest for maximum comfort. The aluminum structure and the textilene covering guarantee resistance to atmospheric agents, humidity and saltiness.

Range extensions

Some novelties in the historical collections complete the offer. An interesting and unprecedented study of the material mix inspired the combination of aluminum and steel with teak seats for furnishing solutions for outdoor and indoor environments. The new version of the chair, armchair, relaxation chair and stool from the Shine collection by Arik Levy is born from the combination of aluminum and teak. While, the teak-steel combination is proposed in the Lyze collection by Florent Coirier and in the chair, low and high stool of the Thor collection by Chiaramonte Marin. Finally, the Star collection sees chair and armchair in a new totally aluminum look, which makes it perfect for marine contexts.
