Designed by Vincent Van Duysen, the collection was born out of nostalgia for the past and is characterised by an industrial aesthetic

In the conception and design phase of a product, visual elements, shapes, colours can evoke memories and feelings linked to tradition. Nostalgia and memory of the past can become a powerful tool to arouse emotions and strike the imagination. There are various modes of expression the designer can resort to: from adopting retro styles to using traditional materials and classic cultural references. This is what Vincent Van Duysen did for the Flora project curated for Fantini.

Conservative touch

‘The Flora project’, explains Vincent Van Duysen, “materialised organically from my desire to create a timeless collection with a nostalgic nod to memory”. A ‘conservative touch’, of which the author is a master, that makes his products timeless, classic, as was already the case with Icona and Icona Deco, previous series developed for Fantini.

Generous proportions

Minimal, elegant and refined, Fantini's Flora design is characterised by a vintage industrial aesthetic enriched by a more contemporary sensibility, with generous proportions that lend sensuality to the product.

A collection with a human touch

‘We paid a lot of attention to proportions. And the result,‘ the designer emphasises, “is a collection with a ”human’ and personal touch. I constantly seek a kind of symbiosis in each of my designs. And there is a very good harmony when it comes to working with Fantini'. The proposed finish is Matt Gun Metal PVD.
