NikolaTesla Fit, designed by Design Creator of Elica Fabrizio Crisà , is an extractor cooktop compact in size, with maxi performance and essential design

This is the latest addition to Elica’s highly successful NikolaTesla range designed by Fabrizio Crisà to meet the exacting needs of those unwilling to renounce excellence even in small spaces. NikolaTesla Fit is the first induction hob with integrated extraction available in two versions, 60 cm or 72 cm: a concentrate of technology where cooking and extraction are perfectly integrated in a space that allows installation even in kitchen bases of only 56 cm wide. It has an extractor heart completely concealed in the induction hob. A slight pressure on the central part suffices to operate it. The fully linear ceramic glass surface makes cleaning and maintenance very quick and easy. All filters are accessible in complete safety from the central compartment. A special internal valve discharges any liquid accidentally spilt into the suction nozzle, ensuring a high degree of hygiene at all times. Despite its compact dimensions, it ensures wide freedom of movement on the hob, with the form of the extractor part designed to leave room for pans of all kinds. In addition, the Bridge function makes it possible to join two zones, creating a single area for the largest pans while still ensuring a constant cooking temperature. NikolaTesla Fit guarantees high vapor removal, about 5 times higher than its ascent rate. In the filter version, special long life high performance filters ensure filtering thresholds of 80% (against the market average of 60%) and the filters can be regenerated in the oven. Finally, thanks to the innovative Autocapture function, the power levels for NikolaTesla Fit can be set completely independently to suit what is being cooked, securing the best balance between silence, effective extraction and high efficiency.

At a glance

What is it?
NikolaTesla Fit is an induction hob with integrated suction designed to be extremely compact.
What is the design concept?
It is a versatile product – devised for small rooms but also ideal for large spaces and kitchens open to the living room – developed to optimize the kitchen spaces without having to compromise on performance, ergonomics or functionality.
How is it made and from what materials?
In appearance it is a single, seamless surface in ceramic glass that conceals the inductors, the control interface and all the parts that activate the fluid dynamics with the extractor motor. This is made of metal and special plastics with a mineral filler that enable it to function at very high temperatures.
How is it produced and where?
It is fully produced in Italy in the facility at Cerreto d’Esi (Ancona, Italy). The whole NikolaTestla range has a dedicated production line for the assembly of the countless components made by the company itself or specialist suppliers.
How is it manufactured?
Manufacturing is highly industrialized with very advanced processes: cutting and cold pressing of steel, high pressure molding for injection plastic and metal, with automated bonding and assembly processes. All completed by the functional, dimensional and aesthetic testing of the system.
What makes it special?
It is an innovative product in many ways. First of all, it embodies two products in one, the cooktop and the extractor hood, which until a few years ago occupied two distinct areas of the kitchen. In addition, what makes it truly unique are its small size and flexible installation.
Three adjectives to describe it
A concentrate of technology, versatile, powerful. Plus a single adjective: surprising.
In the designer’s own words
“The conceptual effort was focused on striking a balance between performance, functionality, ergonomics, technology, small size and versatility. What makes NikolaTesla Fit amazing is its ability to combine a technological soul with extreme expressive simplicity.”
