Univer, a brand of PPG Architectural Coatings, has created a sustainable product that allows you to embellish living spaces making them healthy. This is Acqualife Plus Matt, an innovative water-based enamel which, in addition to being Ecolabel and A + certified, eliminates one of the most common harmful substances indoors, formaldehyde, purifying the air. Super washable, it guarantees the performance of an enamel (abrasion resistance, coverage, perfectly smooth aesthetic appearance), is suitable for pre-treated wall surfaces, wood and metals and is available in sizes 0.75, 2.5 and in the special format of 10 liters. Acqualife Plus Matt is ideal for those transit areas where accidental contacts may occur which alter the opacity on normal opaque paints, leaving shiny marks especially on strong colors: with Acqualife Plus Matt the opaque aesthetic aspect is protected even in case of contact and remains unchanged.

60-30-10 for the best shade

Univer bases the design of an environment on the principle of 60-30-10 as a reference from which to draw to choose the shades of a room. But how does it apply? To balance the color of the walls of an environment it must be considered that about 60% of the chromaticity of the room, including the ceiling, must be made with the main color, to be applied to the larger walls; 30% with a secondary color, on a small wall or ceiling only; for the remaining 10% a vibrant color accent that can also relate to a piece of furniture. The creation of harmonious color combinations and the skilful use of color make it possible to completely change the perception of the volumes of a room.
