The Italian brand and Ken Scott announce a new collaboration: a wallpaper collection in six different designs based on as many works by the American designer

The walls of a room can be seen as partitions or physical limitations of space, but also as canvases to be painted with emotions and stories. As Ken Scott used to do. Visionary American designer, Ken Scott is known as the Gardener of Fashion for his unconventional use of colours, patterns and floral motifs. The artist revolutionised the world of textile and fashion design with creations often inspired by the natural world.

A style that has also revolutionisedhome decoration, proposing disruptive colours, energy and originality for every room in the home, following the thread of nature and its harmonies. From the common vision of spaces that reflect the personality and spirit of those who inhabit them and to celebrate the transformative power of design, the Ken Scott Unconventional collection for Inkiostro Bianco was born.

Six motifs for a refined style

The six designs in the Inkiostro Bianco collection are designed for those who love a sophisticated style. The featured graphics are: KS Cancellata, Domino, Peggy G, Coriopolis, Rosa Nera and an exclusive reworking of Vanità, Bloom and Zigano. The original Peggy G design was created in collaboration with Susan Nevelson, American designer and collaborator of Ken Scott, and is inspired by the fabric of the formal dress worn by Peggy Guggenheim at the Venice Film Festival in 1966.

Iconic flowers

Inkiostro Bianco has reworked Vanità, Bloom and Zigano with the idea of enhancing the characteristics of the individual motifs, creating a union with a strong visual impact. The iconic flowers of daffodil and zinnia, the main subjects of Vanity and Bloom, were selected, while Zigano was used as a background thanks to the design that merges the floral element with the geometric one, giving greater visual uniformity to the whole.

Optical and three-dimensional effects

Domino was created in 1971 as an all over design for furniture and was inspired by the works of Victor Vasarely, painter and founder of theOp Art movement, presenting an optical motif with a three-dimensional effect that is intriguing to the eye.

Patterns inspired by fashion and interior design

The Black Rose pattern, loved by fashion journalist Anna Piaggi, has been used in the past to create interior upholstery, particularly curtains and sofas. Finally, Coriopolis is a pattern inspired byGreek-Byzantine art and made in a mosaic-like style; it was created in 1975 as a fabric design for fashion. Over the years, it has been one of the most widely used designs for both garments andfurnishings.

Colour and print variants

Each of the six patterns in the Ken Scott Unconventional collection for Inkiostro Bianco is available in different colour variants while the print can be made in vinyl wallpaper, Raw and EQ-dekor. Only the Peggy G pattern is available on Goldenwall wallpaper with gold leaf effect.
