The proposal of the Venetian company: wood even in the most intimate space. In the name of aesthetics and sustainability

A boiserie in the bathroom, for a design that means aesthetics but also sustainability. If once furnishing the most intimate space of the house with wood was a gamble, now the desire for a natural atmosphere has also conquered the bathroom. From this new sensibility comes the new Itlas proposal, an excellence in environmentally conscious furniture, within the wider Bathroom Project: a three-dimensional boiserie, which can be installed both vertically and horizontally, generating optical effects that animate the coated surfaces.

The Ecos method

Available in the two versions Le Righe and Le Righe Fineline, the system can also be implemented using the Ecos method (sustainable circular economy), which Itlas is implementing to minimize processing waste. In fact, the project aims to revalue the raw material by giving new life to the parts of the material that would otherwise be lost by generating waste. The recovery of small wood scraps gives life to new eco-sustainable, environmentally friendly tables. We talked about it with Antonio Montagner, commercial director of the Itlas bathroom project.

Why is the choice of a wall panel in the bathroom a market request or an intuition of the company?

We started from a current market trend, namely the use of wallpaper in the bathroom environment. But Itlas produces wood and hence the idea of proposing a wood paneling / wallpaper. A new product, which arouses interest and which interprets this request for design and furnishings according to our philosophy, our idea and our taste. At the same time responding to the sustainability choices that have characterized the company's path for years. The Le Righe Fineline wall paneling is in fact made by recovering small scraps of wood, those that are generally considered processing waste and which, thanks to our recent Ecos project, give life to an environmentally friendly product, a perfect example of circular economy. Today we offer it in five colors and, beyond a certain size, we customize the product according to the customer's needs.

How has the idea of the bathroom changed in recent years among people, according to your observatory?

Let's start with an observation. In the past, furnishing the bathroom with wood, especially with a wooden floor, was a real taboo. Today, however, there is a desire for nature even within this environment. Like Itlas we have simply become the interpreters of a trend. Wooden bathroom furniture, therefore, with the possibility of combining them with floors of the same finish, entering a market niche that currently sees us as unique protagonists.

What does Itlas particularly bring to the bathroom with this collection? Design, practicality, atmosphere or what else?

Our collections dedicated to the bathroom area offer various types of products and materials. We are convinced that the beauty consists in combining different products and materials with the aim of creating an evocative environment. Not everyone appreciates furniture with a total wooden look. Thanks to the variety of proposals we are able to offer design, atmosphere and functionality at the same time.
