At the last Salone del Mobile, at its stand at the fair, #PedraliBacktoNature evoked the origins of a journey that began sixty years ago. Among the many proposals: Babila Twist by Odo Fioravanti

2023 marks an important anniversary for Pedrali: 60 years since the company was founded. Pedrali's family history dates back to 1963, when Mario Pedrali founded an artisan workshop in Palazzolo sull'Oglio, in the province of Brescia, to produce the first wrought iron outdoor seating collections.

60 years of family entrepreneurship

Creative flair and a forward-looking vision laid the foundations of what, under the guidance of their children Monica and Giuseppe, has subsequently become a reality that today employs 340 people. A story of family entrepreneurship that focuses on a 100% made in Italy philosophy, which takes concrete form in the control of the entire production chain within the two sites: the headquarters in Mornico al Serio (Bergamo) and the factory in Manzano (Udine). The company's participation in the last Salone del Mobile was one of the first moments to celebrate this milestone, which will find its highest expression in the autumn with a special event dedicated to it.

At the origins of the path

#PedraliBacktoNature evoked the origins of this path, which began with the outdoor collections, evolved over the years by including indooor products, and materialised through a fluid stand design in which indoor and outdoor follow one another, becoming one extension of the other. What emerged was a homogeneous environment but differentiated in its proposals, a soft, welcoming space where nature, spontaneous but designed, defined and gave sense to the whole, becoming an architectural sign.

A spacious and cosy seat

For the occasion, among the many novelties, the Babila Twist armchairs by Odo Fioravanti were presented in the new shades of green and burgundy. Babila Twist is a steel armchair characterised by a wide and welcoming seat, covered with a weave made from a flat polypropylene rope that also wraps around the armrests, creating a play of light and shadow on the backrest.

Agile disassembly

The woven shell is combined with a steel tube frame with slats for the seat, joined by screws that allow for easy disassembly for recycling and component replacement. On the seat rests a comfortable cushion padded with quick-drying polyurethane foam, covered with an outdoor fabric.
