The installation by Mario Cucinella Architects (MC A) for AUDI at the Biblioteca degli Alberi in Milan is a manifesto of sustainable design: a totally disassembled structure that integrates with the landscape and social context that hosts it

The temporary installation United for Progress designed by Mario Cucinella Architects for AUDI is set up in the park BAM - Biblioteca degli Alberi in Milan where its pure, simple and circular shape relates to the green context by inserting itself between the geometric lines of the park.

The identity of the project is symbolically represented by the sign of infinity which can be seen following the progress of the structure and which well represents the idea of a way of being where places, people and skills are at the center of a path aimed at meeting challenges. and to go beyond limits.

Consisting of a modular metal sub-structure and entirely covered with wooden panels, a symbolic material of the sustainable paradigms of the city of the future, the central arena, made up of 12 steps (6 on each side), offers visitors an informal meeting space (in the compliance with the prevention and control measures of SARS-CoV-2), as well as new perspectives of the park, both during the day and at night, thanks to an integrated full-LED lighting system. The project was carried out following the principles of Design for Disassembly: it will be possible to separate and recover all the materials used once the Interni Designer's Week and the exhibition period have ended.

The installation thus becomes an extension of the park's public space, a place of exchange and knowledge conceived as an urban laboratory in which to explore a rediscovered relationship between man and nature, to connect us to common values and projects and imagine a sustainable future together.
