Majesty 160 is an important stage in the journey of the Venetian designer, who once again designs a boat in its entirety. Harmonically, like a work of art

“We think that 'good' design is made up of 'good' details, hence the attention we pay to every single element. And no detail is too small.

When we are entrusted with the creation of the interiors of a yacht or a residence, we design furniture and decorative objects to create unique and cohesive environments. Where creative designs/projects are guided by a perfect blend of passion and experience. This is our philosophy."

It's not self-congratulatory Cristiano Gatto, Venetian yacht designer and founder in 2001 of Cristiano Gatto Designwhen it talks about itself. He talks about teams and projects. In the plural. He has a kaleidoscopic vision. But at the same time unitary. “It doesn't matter whether you create classic interiors and extraordinarily contemporary exteriors: what makes them unique is the cohesion within each of them.”

And it will be his education - a degree from the School of Fine Arts of Venice, and his studies on the relationship between Industrial Design and Contemporary Art - or his path in art as a sculptor and artist, or his experience at the Italian studio of Philippe Starck where "from his sketches I designed the molds for casting aluminum and I had confirmation that the designer is a contemporary sculptor", the fact remains that Gatto's vision is composed of a universe of information.

A kaleidoscope where travel is a fundamental part of this vision: “From distant lands I draw scents, experiences, details”.This is also why Gatto is so versatile and flexible that he is able to combine his style with that of shipyards with very different peculiarities (Heesen, Ferretti, Benetti, Perini, Isa Yachts, Astondoa, Van Der Valk and many others).

But sculpture is the constant that emerges strongly, it is the call of passion. “It comes out in everything I think, with its volumes, its shadows and its power.”

But what does it mean to think of an all-round project?

“It also means designing dishes, sheets, towels, handles; think about the right paper to put on the master cabin desk; choose the perfume that best combines with the color of the environment".

And this also happens in the residential and hotel sectors, areas in which Gatto has a few dozen projects underway. And if his experience in the field of yacht design has always focused more on interior design, today his audacity in exploring new territories sees the designer simultaneously on various projects such as the 40 meter Evo Van Der Valk project, of which follows are not the interiors but also the exteriors, as well as two 50 meters and a 57 meter full custom by Heesen.

And finally, after the Majesty 175, also the Majesty 160 which Gatto designed as a global and harmonious project, with that particular attention to detail that characterizes his work. A yacht that embodies the vision of Gulf Craft and breaks the mold to offer a luxury experience on the water.
