It's natural: Brazilian natural stones arrive at INTERNI Cross Vision for the FuoriSalone 2024 with an installation designed by Vivian Coser

On the occasion of the FuoriSalone 2024 It's Natural – Brasil Natural Stone - the program of export promotion developed by the Brazilian Center of Natural Stone Exporters (Centrorochas) - in collaboration with the Brazilian Agency for Trade and Investment Promotion (ApexBrasil), will bring to life the experience of the uniqueness and diversity of Brazilian natural stones through a new installation designed by the architect and designer Vivian Coser.

The installation will be created with a selection of stones from Bramagran, Decolores, Pedra and Thor which tell of wealth of natural stones present in Brazil.

Brazil represents one of the most important countries for the extraction and processing of marble and granite. Last winter (30 January - 2 February) the 21st edition of Vitória Stone Fair was held, Veronafiere, considered the leading fair in Latin America for marble and granite, an event which with its 250 exhibitors and buyers from over 50 nations confirmed its leadership by generating over 185 million euros in turnover in the four days of b2b meetings.

During the event, Veronafiere, which has managed the Brazilian marble and granite fair since 2013, announced that from 2025 the event will change its name, becoming Marmomac Brazil with a new headquarters in Sao Paulo. The aim is to attract the American market even more.

With the collaboration of Centrorochas and Apex Brasil, INTERNI took a journey to discover the world of Brazilian natural stone through a visit to a quarry to understand the extraction process of the material and some companies located in Cachoeiro (Magnitos, Magban, Margramar and Cajugram) and Vitória (Vitoria Stone, Ferraz Brasil, Zucchi and Qualità Group) discovering the new technologies used (in most cases using Italian machinery) and the evolution of the sector in terms of sustainability.

The Brazilian natural stone industry confirms itself as one of the most important in the world: first place for geological variety, with over 1,200 types of marble and granite extracted, fourth place for production and fifth for export value which totals 1.17 billion euros in 132 nations.

Brazil is the largest supplier to the US market and a major supplier to China in the rough stone block segment.

Regarding trade with Italy, the green-gold country is one of the largest buyers of Made in Italy machinery and equipment for marble processing.

With this latest edition which also proved to be a success in terms of attendance, the fair opens a new chapter which will allow it even more international visibility. From 2025 Vitória Stone Fair controlled by Veronafiere will change its name and exhibition location: becoming Marmomac Brazil and moving to Sao Paulo.

In fact, Veronafiere has decided to strengthen its presence in Brazil in the natural stone sector. And Vitória Stone Fair, organized since 2013 by the Verona trade fair group through the subsidiary Milanez&Milaneze, changing its name to Marmomac Brazil from 2025 and launching the new headquarters in San Paolo, capital of the green-gold state of the same name, aims to diversify the market and attract new operators from the United States.

This is a rebranding and strategic repositioning that has a dual objective: to continue to grow Vitória Stone Fair, consolidating its leading role for the stone industry of Central and South America and to look at new business opportunities in North America, the leading importer of ornamental stones from Brazil.
