Gruppo Mastrotto publishes its first Sustainability Report

Adherence to the objectives of the UN 2030 Agenda for sustainable development, a strong drive to save water and electricity, social commitment, a code of ethics for suppliers, results in terms of product innovation and support for the local area: these are some of the elements which emerge from the Report published in 2021 by the tanning industrial group.

With its 2,000 workers active in 15 factories, of which 11 in Italy and 4 abroad (Brazil, Indonesia, Tunisia and Mexico), Gruppo Mastrotto is one of the global players in the production and processing of cowhides for furniture, footwear, leather goods, car interiors, nautical and aviation. Its products are exported all over the world, the result of an articulated and comprehensive strategy of product and geographical diversification.

The company has always developed its business by looking at a business culture based on attention to customers, suppliers and business partners, people, respect for the environment. For this reason it has built up its business model over the years, considering the environmental and social aspects necessary for sustainable development as central, through important and targeted investments.

Sustainability, next level has become for the group much more than a claim aimed at a series of concrete actions of social responsibility, but the manifesto of a founding value, the ultimate goal of which is to be able to make a concrete contribution to building a world best for the new generations. The publication of the first sustainability report becomes for the group the natural evolution of a path undertaken many years ago.
