In the Loggiato Ovest, Plan Bee, created by Fabio Novembre with PerDormire, presents a creative and original idea of a beehive, the home of bees, made up of 22 beds and 20 meters long. Plan Bee is a reflection on protection, mutual respect and connection suggested by one of the most poetic examples of sociality to be found in nature: the world of bees and their home, the hive. A supreme social structure, in the hive the roles of each member are hierarchically established. Its perfect organization is an achievement and bears testimony to a strongly communal system that humanity has admired for thousands of years. In this way the Villa, Casale and Loggia beds from PerDormire, inspired by three archetypes of Italian architecture that have accompanied our urban and social evolution for centuries, become a mirror and symbol of a new idea of community, in which decisions are shared and cognitive processes are democratic because they are based on a kind of collective intelligence, the intelligence of the swarm. A community model that humanity should consider more attentively to protect itself and the planet’s limited resources, while rediscovering and enhancing the capacity for mutual care that makes the members of the same community resilient and protective, as in a beehive.
