Brera, Tortona area, Isola, 5Vie and Durini: the addresses to note down, in the hot areas of the FuoriSalone, a guide to eating well and on the cheap

We already know it: FuoriSalone 2023, like all the previous ones, will be a week in which we never stop. You race against time, with the sole aim of grinding as many stages as possible, taking photos, shaking hands, bringing home inspirations and contacts.

Too bad that by doing so you forget to eat.

And to think that Milan has to offer an assortment of gourmet restaurants and bistros capable of satisfying even the most demanding palates. Here you are, broken down by district, the top addresses where you can refresh yourself after the exploratory tours of Design Week.

Obviously with an eye to the interior, without forgetting the excellent culinary offer.

Our advice: save this list.

It will come in handy when your stomach rumbles with hunger and you understand that it's time to sit down at the table. And after lunch, off to a new district, a new exhibition, a new atelier.

Where to eat during Fuorisalone 2023 in Brera?

1. Horteria

Recently opened, a restaurant that promotes cuisine with a very short supply chain.

Horteria is headed by a couple of under 35s, Giorgia Codato and Mauro Salerno, determined to bring a touch of authenticity to the center of Milan.

Lots of vegetables, but also meat and fish, with the only restriction of quality.

Design note: custom made furnishings and a lush population of potted plants.

Where: via Della Moscova 24.

2.Holy

If you love fusion cuisine, a refined environment and cocktails, this is your place to be.

Imagine a place with precious cladding in black and white marble, an ocher yellow background that pays homage to the typical Milanese facades, a kitchen enclosed in an iron box and colored glass and the possibility of informal dining at the counter .

At lunchtime, a business menu with super democratic prices takes center stage.

Where: Via San Marco 14.

Where: Via Thaon di Revel 9/a.

2. Mammarà

On the border with Isola, a stone's throw from the lively Porta Nuova area.

It is worth making a stop here because the authentic Sicilian cuisine is of the highest level, with fish and vegetable dishes as protagonists, above all tomatoes (the chef's passion).
