With the opening of "The Place" Giorgetti completely overhauls its distribution presence in the city of Milan: a seventeenth-century building with a classic 19th-century facade
Giorgetti presented the new showroom in Milan: an entire building on 4 floors in Via della Spiga, designed by Giancarlo Bosio, art director of the brand, and called Giorgetti Spiga The Place.

"This space is a gift for Giorgetti's 125th anniversary. And it's not the only one" declares Giovanni del Vecchio, CEO of the Giorgetti group.

"The idea is to create a platform with our brand capable of accompanying architects, designers or private individuals in the realization of totally coordinated interior architecture projects. We have done this progressively, first expanding our product catalog, inserting the kitchen, the outdoors, articles for decoration, acquiring Battaglia in 2018 to give us an industrial arm for custom-made creations".

The intention of the space is to give value to a brand that in its tradition and craftsmanship evolves by projecting itself towards a more contemporary taste and suitable for a transversal public in terms of age and geography.

"In The Place we want to accompany our visitors in a dimension that is totally Giorgetti, which articulates different atmospheres on the 4 floors of the building and declines design at 360 degrees, also looking to art.

We cater to people who love the detail and exclusivity of the product.

Via della Spiga goes well alongside the Giorgetti brand in terms of tradition, exclusivity, tailoring, a certain idea of the bourgeoisie" concludes del Vecchio.

Giorgetti in Via della Spiga: the installation

The entrance on via della Spiga leads into the interior spaces through a lateral glazed corridor which, at the end, opens onto a small open-air courtyard; an atrium that develops for the entire height of the building, giving brightness to each floor and an intimate and refined internal view. The space on the ground floor, raised above the street, is a scenographic box which through its large windows is designed to offer ever new suggestions to passers-by.

On the ground a mosaic with elements of various sizes and shapes, in ceppo di Grè, positioned according to a particular design, for a combination of great effect; the ceiling is optical with black beams and white decorative discs.

Positioned opposite the reception, the Flamingo game table enchants with its wealth of details. An object of desire that recalls the atmosphere of casinos, the ritual that accompanies the game but also the bourgeois image of the most fascinating world capitals, accompanied by the elegant and ergonomic Annette armchairs.

To the side, a boiserie with leather inserts, created with Battaglia - the company specializing in the development of bespoke and made-to-measure projects which has been part of the Giorgetti Group since 2018 - which runs along the entire wall concealing the inside a wardrobe.

The living composition opposite gives a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere that plays on refined combinations of materials and colors: the play of light and the preciousness hidden in the marble of the tables Griffe , in the center of the area, dialogue with the multiform texture of the tables customized with the decorative coating Anthology, an inlay resulting from the reuse of waste wood from production Giorgetti, and part of the corner composition of the modular sofa SoHo.

Designed by Carlo Colombo, it is characterized by pure and rigorous shapes, accompanied by the Elsa armchairs by M2atelier.

The decorative objects of the Atmosphere Collection, including the Hineri vases in Carrara and Nero Marquina marble, Mila and < strong>Vanity in blown glass, together with Kendama lamps, complete and enrich the space, here and throughout the building.

To frame the living area, a white fireplace recreates a refined domestic scenario.

The first floor of The Place

The floor is a real cabinet-making masterpiece. A parquet made to design that takes up the geometry of the Anthology inlay on the kitchen doors, with a pattern interspersed with wooden inserts placed against the grain.

To welcome the guests, a corner composition of the kitchen models GK.01 and. GK.03, with panels in zebrino and ash marble on one side, enriched by shelves and storage bases, and on the other a wall unit closed by Anthology doors. In the centre, an island with a hob in zebrino marble.

The careful combination of materials and accessories make Giorgetti kitchens a real architectural experience. Opposite, a dining setting, signed M2atelier: the table Enso, with an elliptical top in walnut and a base covered in leather, is accompanied by the chairs Ties feature full volume and a leather back vent.

Following in the path of discovery on the first floor, a living area with bright French windows and balconies overlooking via della Spiga, with a composition of the Vesper sofa by Roberto Lazzeroni, with the iconic Move rocking armchair, elegant and sinuous like an étoile, the Galet coffee tables and the Summa pouf, framed by the Borealis screen from the seductive interweaving of bands for a peek-a-boo effect.

On the opposite side, a meeting room overlooking the atrium is enclosed by glass walls: sculptural and monumental, the Amadeus table by Roberto Lazzeroni dominates the space, surrounded by Montgomery armchairs by Dainelli Studio characterized by great attention to comfort.

The second floor

Visual connection between the floors, the floor, once again, tells of Giorgetti's boundless design ability. Made of parquet with a dark finish, it has slats with rounded cuts at the ends, interrupted by black Marquina marble discs.

At the entrance, the home office area with the linear and fluid shapes by Massimo Scolari of the Erasmo desk and the Springer executive chair coexists with the fitness area.

A wooden backrest and pegs internally covered in leather, made by Battaglia, with the Ali training bag. Continuing, the double-sided Miyabi walk-in closet and the Reiwan system introduce the sleeping area that goes beyond the traditional concept of bedroom to become an intimate environment.

Two tailor-made solutions, where you can store any personal item, designed to adapt to any storage need. The area dedicated par excellence to relaxation presents Vibe by Carlo Colombo, a bed with a soft and captivating look inspired by the design of the 1930s . Behind it, a sapele mahogany wall with fabric and wood inserts made by Battaglia, for a unique warmth to the environment.

At the foot of the bed, the Shirley bench by Carlo Colombo, supported by a structure that resembles a ribbon. A functional workstation characterized by the combination of different materials, the Edward desk and vanity table by Dainelli Studio is a multitasking product, accompanied by the Montgomery armchair and the Uyuni mirror with top that can be equipped with leather containers.

The environment is completed by the Hug armchair by Rossella Pugliatti, another Giorgetti icon that arises from the encounter of a wooden skeleton with soft padding in its shapes, the Clamp tables by M2atelier and the ottoman Otto with extractable table, next to the enveloping and sinuous sofa Solemyidae.

Two French doors allow access to a first terrace furnished with the Aldìa outdoor collection designed by Carlo Colombo, a complete system that brings Giorgetti's passion for detail into the open air.

The third floor

The parquet floor is in Canaletto walnut whose individual strips, with a rounded cut at the ends, alternate with discs, in the same finish, placed against the grain.

Guests were welcomed by a special edition of the Mizar table by Roberto Lazzeroni with a round top in Labradorite and a base in blue colored bronze casting which incorporates the colored reflections of the top: made in only 12 numbered specimens, which will be sold exclusively in via della Spiga, this object represents the ideal bridge that brings the world of design closer to that of art and collector's items.

The design stimulus of this floor creates the ideal representation of a large representative office in line with the many projects carried out by the Group for top management.

The informal meeting area opposite features the Urban sofa by Carlo Colombo, with structure in Canaletto walnut, together with the Aura armchairs by Umberto Asnago and the Fit tables distinguished by a regular repetition of strips in Canaletto walnut. The Kendama lamps with burnished metal structure and blown glass spheres with Murano workmanship illuminate the environment.

This is followed by the area dedicated to the actual desk, where the architectural forms of the G-Code Desk designed by Dante O. Benini and Luca Gonzo are the protagonists.

A proposal of great aesthetic impact, the result of construction techniques that represent the synthesis of a sensitivity and attention to detail developed by the company in 125 years of history. It is accompanied by the Genius executive chair by Roberto Lazzeroni and the Domus system which, thanks to its modular nature, makes any kind of customization possible.

But a modern executive office does not neglect the possibility of opening up to an open-air relaxation meeting area. Hence, from the third floor it is possible to access a second terrace overlooking the atrium.

The sofa and coffee tables from the Aldìa Collection conquer the open air space together with the Loop outdoor armchairs by Ludovica+Roberto Palomba which arise from the intersection of pure geometric shapes.

Next, the internal marble staircase leads to the 4th floor, under the roof, dedicated to the offices.

The basement, for technical rooms and a second operational kitchen for a continuous reception service, also houses a meeting room for planning use, with theGordon table together with the chairs Genius.

A Giorgetti pictogram made entirely of wood stands out on the floor. The materials library collects the finishes and materials, available to designers and customers.
