The new Karen by Talenti collection, which the Umbrian company specializing in the design and manufacture of outdoor furniture will present at Milan Design Week 2023, blends the love for nature and for Africa, a land Ludovica has always loved+ Roberto Palomba.
A hymn to two cultures, the Italian and the African, which finds expression in a personal interpretation of the land of the South: the more poetic one, the meeting point of multiple inspirations. Not surprisingly, the name of the collection is a tribute to the author of Out of Africa, Karen Blixen.
"We wanted to bring the strength and beauty of this land into the project by focusing on the intertwined details of the two rings that become armrests", say the architects Ludovica+Roberto Palomba.
The curved lines that characterize all the references transfer a sense of enveloping comfort only to the eye, giving the upholstery the appearance of a refuge, a cocoon of protection.
Karen by Talenti, the detail
A wooden base contrasts with the backrest where countless threads of fabric are intertwined and stretched over the structure where soft cushions give greater comfort to the seat and the wide backrest. The characteristics of the materials and finishes used mean that the product is particularly resistant to sun, water and wear.
The Karen collection was designed to be the protagonist of outdoor settings, but also to dialogue with other furnishing elements in the collection.
