11 hyper-panoramic padel courts, a wellness area with a gym and personal services, 3 restaurants and 21 rooms aimed at (also) a liesure clientele. In the Como area, we understood what is meant when we talk about the largest (and most beautiful) 'Padel Resort' in Italy

A place of sport but also of relationships, well-being and pleasure: in Como, not far from Miralago, stands the first Padel Resort in Italy. The largest in the beautiful country and in the top ten in Europe. A place to take refuge from the chaos of the city, allowing yourself some time for yourself.

It was ‘invented’ by the Parolini family who, with a career simultaneously active across two generations and different fields, from real estate to car dealerships, inaugurated the structure in 2024, thus also entering the world of hospitality and services.

Born on a former industrial area of 17 thousand square meters, less than an hour from Milan, The Padel Resort is the fruit of the vision of a family of place makers who started the project by also opening the doors to a new concept of integrated welcome.

Thus, the primary intention - that of opening a luxury car dealership (currently active) - has been joined by a Boutique 4-star hotel, 11 padel courts, 3 refreshment points, a gym, meeting and co-working spaces, specialist sports studios and an outdoor beach area.

From the services to the interior design, the entire project is imbued with Parolini DNA: in addition to managing the structure, the family is personally involved in every decision. The dining spaces, common areas of the structure and rooms of the boutique hotel Como Hills were curated by the Como architect Vito Ruscio who worked closely with the property.

The Padel Resort: what is it

The term Padel Resort may suggest that it is a place exclusively reserved for enthusiasts and professionals, that's true. However, after having visited and experienced it firsthand, completely ignorant of the subject, we can say that the dimension of hospitality here goes hand in hand with the sporting one.

It is a solution that lends itself, in all respects, to a beneficial escape from the city. Or a weekend at the lake to spend in a location away from the traffic of Como, although 10 minutes from the city center.

The format is typically associated with sports clubs, but supported by a hospitality formula that elevates the proposal to an unprecedented solution in Italy and, for a while, also in Europe. The glue is padel: an interest that unites professional athletes and passionate amateurs in constant growth who, according to the PadelBiz magazine, counts between 22 and 25 million players in the world of which approximately 60% are located in Europe. Here, it becomes an excuse for days, weekends or even weeks, dedicated (also) to sport.

11 hyper-panoramic courts, of which 9 are indoors interspersed with relaxation areas that allow you to cultivate relationships and 2 outdoors, constitute the heart of the structure of The Padel Resort: "The enthusiast as the professional, when playing padel requires two specifications: the height of the space and the width between courts. Here, we have tried to satisfy both needs, in particular with lounges that contribute to enhancing the relational component, in addition to the competition”.

In addition to the play areas, the structure includes two studios for physiotherapists and osteopaths, a co-working area, which can also be used for corporate events, a Technogym-equipped gym overlooking the fields, available upon reservation for a pre-match warm-up or a training session with the assistance of a personal trainer, and an open-air heated swimming pool.

From June 2024, also a boutique hotel

The interesting and new aspect, compared to the already existing clubs reserved for padel in Italy, lies in the accommodation structure. Como Hills is the 4-star boutique hotel inaugurated in June 2024 that flanks the structure with 21 deluxe rooms of 25 or 30 square meters each complete with private terrace, arranged on three floors and organized in chromatic clusters that involve fabrics, materials and floors, depending on the elevation level.

The ground floor, where large private gardens complete the arrangement, corresponds to the color green, the brick tone is reserved for the first level and blue for the top floor.

All the rooms overlook the green space outside the structure, equipped with a 25-meter heated swimming pool and usable by both resort guests and day guests. A corner of relaxation and peace, even acoustically, where you can enjoy a few rays of sunshine even out of season with a beach area that has 120 places between sun loungers and day beds by the pool.

The food proposal

In addition to the modern Lounge Bar specializing in mixology and designed to accompany convivial moments in the name of serenity, The Padel Resort offers a pleasant discovery of flavors and culinary proposals organized in two refreshment points: the Gourmet Restaurant I Tigli and the Bistrot. Both directed by chef Franco Caffara, they offer menus based on carefully selected ingredients and traditional recipes always interpreted according to a contemporary interpretation. From homemade breads to desserts, everything is taken care of in detail.

Decorating the walls, some works created by Davide Romanò, an expert mechanic who has worked for the Parolini workshop for years and who dedicates his free time to art. A tribute to the origins.

A final note: The Padel Resort and its restaurants are also open for Christmas and New Year's Eve 2024, with two interesting special menus that we had the opportunity to read in preview.
