The hotel Le Massif designed by Andrea Auletta in Courmayeur reopens for the winter season. Configured as an extension of the mountains and lined with wood, it is embellished with a chalet directly on the ski slopes

The natural and evocative intensity of the mountains pervades the imposing but welcoming environments of Le Massif, the resort of the group Italian Hospitality Collection in Courmayeur designed by the architect Andrea Auletta and created by Concreta which reopens for the winter season 2022 -2023 with some new features.

Starting with the new General Manager Eduardo Peregrino , continuing with the gastronomic proposal of the new chef Francesco Colantonio up to Ski&Fi, the program created to meet the needs of the most athletic, which combines a balanced diet with specific spa treatments to allow you to recover your fitness after intense days of skiing.

Un natural extension of the mountain

Le Massif emerges from nature, in dialogue with the majestic Alps that stand behind it. The resort is inside the mountain and the mountain is inside it , in its monumental forms but also in the smallest details. 

The hotel Le Massif - affiliated with The Leading Hotels of the World - is located near the cable car and the boutiques in the center, while the chalet La Loge du Massif, embraced by the solemn scenery of Plan Checrouit, is directly on the ski slopes.

Hotel, resort and spa at the foot of Mont Blanc

Designed by the architect Andrea Auletta and built by the interior contractor from Valtellina typically Italian hospitality that combines hotels, resorts and spas.

Alpine tradition and contemporary style

The interior design on the one hand recalls alpine styles with carpets and fabrics designed specifically for resume the decorations of the typical mountain sweaters, on the other hand it is inspired by a contemporary style with sober elegance, while the light of the spaces changes as the mountain.

Wood and cowbells

The protagonist of all environments is larch wood , which changes according to the seasons, emphasized by furnishings, accessories and accessories in iron , in Corten steel laser cut or in aged leather and from tartan fabrics and soft velvets.

The cowbells of the cows, on the other hand, are the inspiration for the design of some wall lamps and the carpet patterns in the corridors.

A wood-lined home shelter

The hotel, which is spread over 8 floors, boasts 80 rooms and suites.

The enveloping sensation of being at home pervades the rooms, in a sort of refuge. The soft light warms and enhances every room where handcrafted furnishings and accessories, made of natural materials and warm shades, give a intimate and reserved atmosphere.

Wherever there is wood: if floors are in untreated wood slabs, that ancient and reclaimed covers the walls.

The attic suites

In the attic suites, where the air smells of larch and fir and every detail speaks of craftsmanship, large terraces offer panoramic views of Mont Blanc.

Each suite, dedicated to a well-known mountaineer, stands out for its tailored care, even in the bathrooms, designed as mini spa: real oases of well-being that recall the shapes of mountain rocks.

The distinctive facades and the spa

For the imposing and distinctive external facades of the building, the wood effect is recreated through special sheets in titanium zinc, the stone is instead used for the flooring of the common spaces at ground floor.

The spa, which covers an area of 800 square meters , includes a heated swimming pool that continues towards the outside and a gym.

Three restaurants led by the new Executive Chef

A Francesco Colantonio, new Executive Chef of Le Massif, is entrusted with the entire gastronomic offer of the hotel which includes the gourmet restaurant LM38 with mountain dishes revisited in a contemporary key, the Chetìf restaurant, with tasty dishes that recall the Italian and Mediterranean tradition of land and sea and the Steakhouse Cervo Rosso for meat lovers.

Attention to the environment and luxury services

Everything inside the 5-star hotel evokes the surrounding nature, also and above all from the point of view of energy efficiency: a photovoltaic heating system is added to a totally green heating system.
