The lush offices of Poetizer, a social network dedicated to poetry lovers, stimulate creative thoughts that are not domesticated, free and wild like the greenhouse they host

Can a social network create a democratic, inclusive and virtuous cultural model, with a high level of poetry? It seems so, at least by looking at Poetizer. We explain why.

What is Poetizer? It is the largest social network in the world dedicated to poetry lovers which has now also become a home digital publisher. A global community and at the same time an editorial platform that helps emerging and established writers in every creative phase.

But that's not all, the headquarters best represents the reality it hosts.

In Prague, in fact, the fresh and minimal offices of the innovative start-up, designed by the architect Tomáš Císař and the designer Johana Sedláčková Vamberská, are animated by the unexpected presence of a lush greenhouse. How a mythological Eden materializes the concept of 'wild thought'.

The beneficial and connective power of poetry

Located in the center of the Czech capital, the Poetizer headquarters offers employees a stimulating place for daily work and a freer area - wild, precisely - which allows them to isolate themselves from the outside world and devote themselves completely to creative activities .

The project to create a 'poetic social network' was born starting from the concept of well-being: it has been shown that poetry has a positive impact on mental health , encourages the artistic expression and connection, personal and intellectual. By breaking down social bubbles, it has the power to unite people from all over the world.

What is Poetizer?

Poetizer is the largest social network for poetry lovers in the world, with millions of poems published by users in 120 countries. The startup recently launched a sustainable publishing platform all-in-one that makes the entire publishing process democratic, allowing the writing, dissemination, sharing and sale of poems to anyone.

Poetizer is a network, a market, a community and a safe space to connect and support each other. In 2022 Poetizer also launched Poetizer Publishing to allow authors to create and sell their own poetry books.

The mission is to digitize, decentralize, modernize, as well as make sustainable and democratic publishing industry.

A wild jungle for untamed thoughts

Curated by architect Tomáš Císař and designer Johana Sedláčková Vamberská, the interior design concept of the offices spanning 150 m2 is based on identity same as Poetizer: a minimalist platform that emphasizes environmental protection.

The heart of the headquarters is the greenhouse, a wild jungle, a luxuriant ecosystem which, following the theory of Claude Lévi-Strauss , stimulates untamed thoughts.

The greenhouse as a meeting and relaxation space

Centrally located, the greenhouse is a pleasant place for informal meetings: it offers a space for streaming poetry readings and also acts as a relaxation area. On the structure grow, luxuriant and free, 171 plants and, among which over 100 species are represented. The main room also houses individual workstations.

Spaces unfolded like chapters in a book

Also equipped with a kitchen, the architectural project of the headquarters unfolds like a book, complete with stories, narratives and chapters. The main story-room where the greenhouse dominates is preceded by the corridor of entrance, followed by other chapters: two meeting rooms and a focus room.

The colors outline the narrative

The materials but above all the colors chosen reflect the function of each space. If white, the metaphor of the sheet of paper, is the predominant color in the areas intended for targeted work, where the pages of books are written, green dark dominates the areas dedicated to team communication, both in person and online. Accents of orange finally punctuate the entire inside, referring to the corporate identity of the start-up.
