Mottolino Fun Mountain looks to the 2026 Winter Olympics: the new multifunctional hub on the slopes of Livigno is open. In addition to the services dedicated to skiing, there are areas for smartworking and coworking, a gaming room and a restaurant that offers ethical mountain cuisine.

The first private work built in anticipation of the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games - Milan Cortina 2026 </ a> is in Livigno. Departure station of the ski lifts in the center of a ski area, Mottolino Fun Mountain has been transformed into a hybrid and multifunctional complex unpublished in Italy.

The architectural project, the interior design and the Valtellinese contractor

Distributed on three levels, the dynamic and functional architectural structure, designed by Anselmo Fontana of Studio LPS, is distinguished by the refined interior design, signed by Progetto CMR under the guide by Massimo Roj, and set up with furniture made to measure by Concreta, a Valtellinese company specialized in the contract sector with a predisposition for technological innovation. The new Mottolino Fun Mountain headquarters is a significant investment that projects Livigno towards the Olympic challenge.

The services offered

Inside the complex, in addition to services related to skiing - rental, storage, ski school, shop - there are elegant and welcoming areas dedicated to smartworking and coworking, as well as a gaming room. The restaurant area has also been renovated with the Kosmo Taste the Mountain – Livigno & AlpiNN inspired by the ethical mountain cuisine of the starred chef Norbert Niederkofler. An investment, therefore, aimed not only at the ski slopes, at fun and now also at remote work; the mission is to create a global experience that includes high quality food, drink and alpine hospitality.

Play in advance by investing in the area

Born in a difficult period for the whole mountain tourism sector, Mottolino Fun Mountain invests in the territory, transforming the crisis into an opportunity. “We are inaugurating a structure that looks to the future: the first privately funded work - with a cost of 11 million euros - that takes us to the Olympics” explains Marco Rocca, at Mottolino Fun Mountain. “The new headquarters is aimed at an international and perennially connected audience, at young people who live in a dimension that integrates virtual and real. After all, anticipating and seeing new opportunities has always been in our DNA, ever since we were the first to believe and invest in freestyle . This project represents a entrepreneurial challenge for those who have the ambition to always raise the bar of services and always work in search of improvement”.

A welcoming, lively and digital place, for everyone

Today the new departure station of the ski lifts is radically transformed: it is a point of reference and meeting place not only for skiers, but for all the community. In place of the previous access area to the cabins, a multifunctional complex structured on three levels has been created that offers various pluses: all services are bookable online, on the website or via the App; every detail has been designed to make the flow of visitors flow smoothly and quickly and avoid the risk of queues; customers enter a digitized path and, at the same time, are accompanied in their choices by operators who pay particular attention to the human and relational factor.

The high-tech service center on the ground floor

On the ground floor there are all the winter activities related to skiing, the snow park and the slopes, while in summer those dedicated to MTB (Mountain Bike Trek). From equipment rental, with an open laboratory and high-tech machinery with 3D scanning, to ticketing (tickets can be booked online in contactless mode), from ski and snowboard schools or for bikers at the shop with Mottolino Fun Mountain branded products up to the storage area , equipped with large heated lockers, equipped with a innovative that sanitizes the materials.

On the first floor the Digital Cave

Accessible by an escalator, the first floor, extending over an area of 300 m2, houses the Digital Cave, a bright space, set up with soft and essential design furniture that offers a panoramic view of the mountains. Here there are rooms with an alpine flavor dedicated to smartworking and streaming, whose services can be booked online. The Gaming room with stations for playing the Playstation, proposals dedicated to e-games and professional driving simulators from the Swiss company Race Centers stand out for its latest generation equipment.

Coworking and smartworking (design)

The new Mottolino Fun Mountain is ready to host professionals and skiers who need to work remotely and appreciate the possibility of doing it in a context surrounded by nature. The new hub has in fact spaces with a refined design signed by Concreta dedicated to coworking and smartworking. Dynamic and connected to respond to the multitasking needs of contemporary life, they reveal themselves to be warm, welcoming and 'domestic': lined with wood, they are distinguished by natural materials such as stone, soft custom-made systems, and refined but comfortable furnishings, covered in velvety shades. The meeting rooms have been developed by Progetto CMR to be modular, allowing single or team use.

On the second floor the restaurant Kosmo Taste the Mountain – Livigno & AlpiNN

The catering also changes pace: Kosmo, formerly an après-ski local, is reborn and transformed. The new restaurant is an experiential place to relax in an enveloping and informal environment. The new restaurant Kosmo Taste the Mountain – Livigno & AlpiNN proposes a food offer based on the ethical philosophy Cook the Mountain by Norbert Niederkofler, chef with three Michelin stars and one star for sustainability.

Ethical mountain cuisine

The protagonist is a mountain cuisine that comes from local and seasonal ingredients. Mo-food , holding company of South Tyrolean chef Niederkofler and partner Paolo Ferretti, takes on the strategic direction of the new restaurant. Syria Fedrigucci is the 'director', director of Kosmo Taste the Mountain - Livigno & amp; AlpiNN, supported by the chef Luca Armellino and by the bar manager Edoardo Felisini.

Catering and its simple rules

Kosmo fully adopts the philosophy of ethical mountain cuisine. Few and simple rules: cultivate, as a fundamental element of quality, the personal relationship of trust and close collaboration established with local producers, based on direct and in-depth knowledge and avoids any waste , using everything that enters the kitchen and transforming it into local and seasonal recipes. This is how each dish becomes a story, and an opportunity to create bonds.
