The company of reference in the design kitchen sector has obtained Indoor Hi-Qualitycertification, proving that its kitchens comply with the indoor pollution standards of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). Ernestomeda is one of the first Italian companies to meet these international standards, after testing by Cosmob, the qualified laboratory specializing in the wooden furnishings sector, one of the few in Europe and the only one in Italy to perform qualified testing to assess emissions of VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) used in the production processes of furniture and kitchens. Ernestomeda kitchens, then, are LEED compliant: the materials used for their production have low emissions of compounds that can harm the human organism – first of all, formaldehyde – and therefore meet the stipulations of LEED regarding indoor pollution (Commercial Interior – IEQ Credit 4.5).
