Frette, the famous Italian brand of luxury home linens, updates its boutique on Via Manzoni in Milan.
The flagship store has an overall area of 250 square meters. Many of its features have been restored to their original image. The external marble facade has been left intact, taking the windows to the streetfront as in the original design from 1870.
The interiors feature natural tones: the furnishings are made with afara wood, while the internal column and other decorative parts are made in Emperador Brown marble. Alongside elements in Alcantara and brushed brass, beige is the dominant tone, with details ranging from chestnut to darker browns.
For the floor, the choice has gone to Silipol in pale colors. Frette is the first furnishings store to make use of this revolutionary material – a combination of marble and granite dust and cement – selected in the 1960s by the architect Franco Albini for the stations of Line 1 of the Milan subway system.
