The first flagship store of the renowned Golran carpet brand opens at Via Pontaccio 8 in Milan, in the Brera district. The space has been renovated by the architecture firm Storage Associati and the art directors of the brand, studio Francesca Avossa.

The showroom takes a “white cube” approach, like an art gallery, to display the colorful carpets of the brand. Everything is custom-made by hand for maximum functional quality.

The staircase is protected by glass walls and clad in brass. It leads to the work area featuring a large drawer unit, also clad in brass, whose 11 drawers contain up to 500 samples. A wall with sliding shelves displays the folded pieces from the collection, avoiding the stacks of carpets usually found in traditional stores. The shelves slide outward for easy viewing.
