Lyon, the breathtaking capital of light and the gathering place of the international lighting community during the Festival of Lights, is the choice of iGuzzini to open its second ‘partner assistance’ space in France.

Croix Rousse – the district that is the home of many lighting professionals – was the natural choice for the iGuzzini store in Lyon, on the historic Place des Terreaux.

Conceived as a place to meet and discuss, for training and information, the space in Lyon will allow different audiences to learn about the many mutable expressions of artificial light, exploring the culture of lighting developed over the years by iGuzzini.

Everyone who is interested in the themes of technical lighting will find useful input, including architects, interior designers and lighting designers.

A space of about 150 m2, compact but striking, on three levels, where light is always the sole protagonist in absolute minimal displays of great flexibility, for both indoor and outdoor fixtures: absolutely innovative technologies, focused on conservation of natural rhythms, environmental dynamics and energy savings.

Like all the iGuzzini showrooms of the latest generation, the facility in Lyon stands out for its ‘lighting laboratory‘ on the first floor: a space with an almost educational approach, reproducing typical situations to test different luminous scenarios, to concretely evaluate the effects of different sources and fixtures and to understand light’s fundamental role in the perception of forms and colors.

The central level – to receive clients and host encounters – leads to a beautiful terrace facing the square, while the upper level contains the offices where the expert technicians of iGuzzini welcome clients for consulting services.

The space will also host events and initiatives to raise awareness of the use of light, where iGuzzini offers full service support to its contract counterparts.
