The store in Milan uses interactive tables, intelligent shelves and data visualization in real time, offering customers information on the origins and characteristics of food products, to promote greater consumer awareness.

The supermarket of the future, a large store with pioneering digital solutions developed by Carlo Ratti Associati, opens its doors this week inside the Bicocca Village shopping center.

The new store has been built by Coop Italia, the largest supermarket chain in Italy. With an area of 1000 m2, it uses technologies first seen in a prototype version created by Carlo Ratti for Expo 2015 – https://www.internimagazine.it/projects/progettare-il-futuro/ – in the Future Food District pavilion of Coop.
