The Monastery of Torba, at Gornate Olona, is the protagonist of a new lighting project by Osram. The Linearlight-Dragon® LEDs with dimmers, composed of six high-power Golden Dragon® units mounted on a metal-core printed circuit, have been selected for the project because they are the best fixtures to meet the needs of conservation of the frescoes, while offering the possibility of conserving the mystery and charm of the site. The project is part of the program Osram Art Light Lab, for the development and application of new LED technologies for lighting art. The possibilities of this ‘interpretative lighting’ represent a true breakthrough in this specific applications area.
