Italian brand opens Cologne showroom with historic German partner

The first international event of 2024, was for Minotti the inauguration in Cologne of the new Concept Store by Pesch (the brand's historic German partner, which celebrates its 120th anniversary this year). An extension and renovation project, carried out by Minotti Studio, the brand's creative heart, has given rise to a display space on two levels, with a total surface area of 450 square metres, redesigned to enhance the versatility of the collection and offer an interpretation of Minotti's signature living.

International identity and local lifestyle

A refined interior design concept, designed to reaffirm the quality of Minotti's furniture and the brand's international identity, in tune with local taste and lifestyle, which consolidates Minotti's presence in Germany, a priority and strategic market for the brand.

A large showcase

Dominating the scene in the large main showcase on Kaiser-Wilhelm-Ring 22 is Rodolfo Dordoni's Twiggy seating system, with its distinctive look and sartorial stitching. An invitation to discover the world of Minotti, which, on the ground floor, winds its way through dining and living settings featuring several best sellers (the Wedge dining table by Nendo, the Connery seating system by Rodolfo Dordoni, the Horizonte seating system by Marcio Kogan / studio mk27), united by sartorial details and a mix of materials that tell of Minotti's design expertise.

The first floor doubles

A clay-coloured lacquered portal with double doors and large full-height windows lead to the display area on the first floor, which has been doubled in size: mirrored walls alternate with dark slatted boiseries and white plaster surfaces, in aesthetic continuity with the pre-existing display space. The atmosphere, punctuated by a selection of furnishings including icons and recent proposals from the 2023 Collection, narrates Minotti's idea of the home, organised into relaxation and conversation, dining, sleeping and outdoor areas.

Interpreting space

Close to the entrance, the new curved elements of the Goodman seating system by Rodolfo Dordoni, with their more harmonious volumes, are able to interpret space in a more enveloping way, in dialogue with the soft silhouettes of the Sendai seating by Inoda+Sveje.

Tables, armchairs and seating

The area next door offers a dining area with a Linha table by Marcio Kogan / studio mk27 and Raphael dining armchairs by GamFratesi, as well as the Dylan modular seating system, with its more rigorous features and couture-inspired details. The path continues, past a large steel-clad fireplace, with the Marvin table and an articulated composition of the Hamilton seating system, celebrating its first 20 years, as well as the Twiggy Bed, all by Rodolfo Dordoni.

View of the park

The last display area of the Minotti store, facing a full-height windowed wall with a view of the park, hosts an unusual outdoor proposal with the Quadrado seating system by Marcio Kogan / studio mk27 and the Torii Nest Outdoor seating by Nendo.
