Scacco Matto is the title of the new window display of the Milan showroom of Lea Ceramiche, an overview of the latest products by the Modena-based company.
Designed by Diego Grandi, the showroom offers an ironic take on the game of chess, where domestic environments establish a dialogue with iconic furnishings and the new Lea Ceramiche collections.
On the floor, the alternation of white and black of the Absolute Slimtech sheets amplifies the space and makes it luminous and open, thanks to the glossy finish of the laminated stoneware, the latest evolution of a technique that would have been unthinkable until a short time ago in such thin pieces.
On the wall the impressive marble-effect modules of the Timeless Marble collection frame the situation: Bianco Statuario and Pietra Gray, in the polished and satin finishes, display slight tonal differences that make the ceramic material look more natural. The versatility of Slimtech is demonstrated by volumes of different scales, entirely clad with the sheets, to illustrate the ease of application of laminated stoneware in any decor, with perfect cuts, edges and border finishes.
