With this issue, no. 650, Interni has a new look, with sparkling new content and striking new graphic design. Not just a new image, but also lively, in-depth, precise coverage to meet the expectations of those who design and those who produce.
The columns are now organized to offer easily identified areas of interest, and a new visual hierarchy of the subjects discussed. There are also new sections, like PhotographINg, where the protagonists are images and close-ups of installations, projects and products, freely combined in an evocative narration. In this case the focus is light, an extremely timely theme this year. We like to think of this issue as memorable moment of passage, because it represents the evolution of a great asset: the ability to intercept, cultivate and spread creative energy in the field of design.
The link with Energy for Creativity, the title of the double exhibition-event of Interni for the FuoriSalone, is no coincidence. Creativity represents a fundamental value with which Milan is preparing to welcome the Expo on “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life”. This attitude also knocks on the doors of architecture, visiting works by Annabel Karim Kassam, Kengo Kuma, Daniel Libeskind, PIUARCH, Sergei Tchoban, CLS Architetti.
And it becomes a theme of reflection for the protagonists of design, art and criticism, who with their specific viewpoints explore and explain the challenges facing design in the near future, including new professional figures, new disciplinary zones, new areas and tools of research.
