Atina is an ancient town from the pre-Roman era in the province of Frosinone, Valle di Comino. In this context stands a private villa on two levels with a large garden, a swimming pool and a tennis court.
The owners wanted to create a poolside lounge, a true relaxation area with an outdoor kitchen, for intensive enjoyment of outdoor living.
The architectural context suggested the creation of minimal elements of low impact, establishing a dialogue with the surroundings. A partition has been created to contain a small sink and a refrigerator, to improve livability of the outdoor space while playing a structural role, since a pergola can be partially supported by the partition, as well as by an overhanging L-shaped beam.
The choice was the bioclimatic pergola with adjustable roof blades Kedry Prime by KE in the matte brown tone, a hue already found in the other elements of the project, which call for the use of Cor-ten steel.
Kedry Prime is a versatile solution with an essential style, offering personalized finishings like the LED strips along the eaves and the blades that create an evocative lounge effect in the evening. The unit can be closed with panoramic sliding glass or with the lateral Vertika Prime awnings. The variety of choices for the fabrics (transparent, filtering and darkening) permits selection of the desired level of screening.
