Anticipating the future, consolidating professional and personal relationships, working together, protecting the territory were the key principles of the late manager's thinking

A great passion for work, a direct way of doing things, a multifaceted and visionary interpretation of the company's activity. And an unconditional love for the mountains.

Fabrizio Longo, who left us on August 31st after falling from a via ferrata on Adamello, director of Audi Italia for 11 years, was not just a manager in the automotive industry.

Because for him, even if the objective of registrations was a priority, the ways to achieve it could also be very different, with an approach that led him to study partnerships with apparently distant worlds.

For example, support for mountain communities, collaborations with companies at the forefront of innovation, participation as main partner of Interni at the FuoriSalone in Milan where Audi, in support of installations created by visionary and innovative architects and artists, promoted debates and discussions on the changing world, also inviting creatives and thinkers who do not reserve words of affection for the paradigm of technology.

Longo had his own way of being, reflective, attentive, unsettling. His philosophy was: "I believe in it, it can be done and before others get there. And as far as my work is concerned, I would like to make an ode to the present of my world: the car should be considered a healthy carrier of futuristic solutions!".
This was work for Longo, anticipating the future, consolidating professional and personal relationships, working together, protecting the territory. With, at the base, new levels of awareness. This was the key word. He said "It is a broader concept of sustainability, it presupposes a deep knowledge of the context. And it implies choices on the part of companies that translate into realistic solutions". We will also remember him for this.
