Cassina Projects announces the opening of a new exhibition space in Milan that makes its debut on 12 September 2019.
At Via Mecenate 76/45, inside the historic Caproni airplane factory, a context of industrial archaeology dating back to 1920, the gallery has an area of 1250 m2 and includes two exhibition spaces, viewing rooms and offices.
For the opening, Cassina Projects presents two solo shows by Gerold Miller, titled The Monoform Show in Gallery 1 on the ground floor, and Marcel Eichner with Paintings and Drawings in Gallery 2, on the second floor.
The facility is special not only due to the large size, but also for the arrangement on two levels permitting simultaneous installation of two exhibitions.
The objective of Cassina Projects is to continue to develop the work conducted to date in the gallery’s facility in New York while creating a new contemporary art hub in Milan, where artists, collectors, curators and art lovers can be involved in initiatives that go beyond regular gallery activities: lectures and talks with a focus on artists from different generations, film screenings and performances.
