The title of the conference organized with Interni China at the Salone del Mobile.Milano Shanghai (20/22 November 2019) is The new frontiers of entrepreneurship, with a focus on the strategic and productive directions of Italian design and on how it is perceived on Asian international markets, especially China which now represents the seventh-largest market for Italian furniture exports (source: Assarredo).

The talk is the occasion to present the special volume of the Interni Gold Series, Italian Design Factories 2019, the fifth chapter in the story of Italian design that all began back in 2014 with the celebratory volume for the magazine’s first 60 years.
The focus of this year is on all those places where the great Italian craft tradition is renewed, today capable of being fused with the most advanced industrial processes and grasping the possibilities offered by digital technologies. The protagonists are the places of know-how that, thanks to the insights and work of brilliant, capable and courageous entrepreneurs, have over time transformed themselves from small craft workshops into solid industrial enterprises and true R&D laboratories.
