Light, space and emptiness. The first solo show by Migliore + Servetto Architects in South Korea

Onground Gallery, Seoul, South Korea

21 May 2019 – 29 June 2019

Light, space and emptiness take the stage in Seoul for the first solo show in South Korea by the Migliore+Servetto Architects.

Lightmorphing. From sign to scenery focuses on the architecture firm’s unique approach.

The exhibition is a unique chance to discover the methods and process of Migliore+Servetto, offering insights into their research and poetics.

Density, layering and evolution are the central concepts and connections of the objects on view, triggering a dialogue of open forms generated by a repeated sign that becomes a note, a unit in a polyphonic itinerary.

Lightmorphing is a concept on which the Milan-based firm has worked for many years, giving rise to site-specific installations that come to terms with natural and artificial light, which shapes, contaminates and amplifies them.

“The exhibition focuses on the richness and power of the relationship that is established between space, light and emptiness, interpreted in its dynamic, mutable dimension,” Ico Migliore and Mara Servetto, co-founders of the studio, explain.

La mostra si focalizza sulla ricchezza e sulla potenza della relazione che si instaura tra spazio, luce e vuoto” Ico Migliore e Mara Servetto"

Entering the spaces of the show, visitors discover three different scenarios: a section on the graphic design of Ico Migliore, a second on the site-specific installations and a third which features a video installation.
