In Turin, between the hills and the historical center, Gruppo Building designs new forms of living with two real estate projects

Gruppo Building begins 2020 in terms of growth, expansion and innovation of living spaces. The group helmed by Piero and Luca Boffa has received a new honor: the Best of Houzz 2020 award in the Design category, a prize assigned by the Houzz community, the leading global platform for design and renovation of interiors and exteriors. After the prizes of 2017 and 2018, this is the third Houzz Award for Gruppo Building, which has announced two projects for the city of Turin, in collaboration with the design firm of BP+P Boffa, Petrone & Partners.

On Corso Giovanni Lanza, below the Villa della Regina and towards Monte dei Cappuccini, Uptown Torino will be the conversion of the structure of the De La Salle order of Villa San Giuseppe, which since 1972 has hosted college students. Uptown Torino will become a residential building with four above-ground levels, offering many cohousing services for tenants, private gardens and a shared vegetable garden, as well as a football field, a tennis court, a paddleball court and a gym: an exclusive, modern terrace overlooking Turin, inserted in the foothill context in one of the most coveted zones of the city.

Near Piazza Solferino, between Via Lascaris, Via Francesco d’Assisi and Via Dellala, Domus Lascaris (slated for completion in the spring ) is the reinterpretation by BP+P of a Rationalist building from the 1950s. The project announced in 2018 and launched in 2019 is a redefinition of modernism in a 21st-century tone. The skeleton has remained unchanged, while the outer enclosure displays a contemporary character, in a harmonious composition of openings, some protruding, others recessed as loggias, to enhance the interiors with the play of lights and shadows.
