Fondazione Marcello Morandini publishes a catalogue raisonné on Marcello Morandini, the most complete and up-to-date editorial project on his artistic output. Issued by Skira and edited by Marco Meneguzzo, the catalogue is subdivided into three separate, complementary sections, to narrate the art of Morandini from 1964 to the present, starting with a process of cataloguing, archiving and documentation of authenticity of the works conducted by Fondazione Marcello Morandini over the last few years.
With over 500 pages, the volume begins with a critical text by the editor and an essay by Serge Lemoine, the French historian who has always monitored the career of Morandini. The second section includes a critical anthology of writings that accompanied the exhibitions and documented Morandini’s artistic research. The third section contains the works, documented in photographs and supplied with technical and bibliographic profiles.
The book documents works from the early years to the participation at the 34th Venice Art Biennale, from the invitation to Documenta Urbana in Kassel to the many international exhibitions, all the way to the most recent years with a reconstruction of the placement of works in museums and public collections.
