A small apartment in Moscow featuring Thonet furnishings, harmony and light

Small and beautiful: in just 33 m2 the architecture firm Bazi has created a completely furnished apartment in the center of Moscow. Every square meter has been designed and utilized: natural light brightens the space, furnished with discreet refinement.

The reading corner features a large bookshelf and an S 35 club chair designed by Marcel Breuer facing the panorama of the city. In the S 35 model, the designer condensed all the functions of a cantilevered chair in a single continuous line of steel tubing. The flexibility of the cantilevered model is doubled because the armrests, flexing independently with respect to the seat, counter the movement of the seat and back as they lean backward. For the covering, the Russian architects have chosen black full-grain cowhide.

The small flat also contains two tables from the B 97 series: in the living room it is painted black with a top in natural wood, while in the bedroom it is used in the classic version, as a bedside table.

The team of architects has opted for the Kuula table lamp by Uli Budde in the black version: its formal elegance makes it ideal as a reading lamp, combined with the B 97 table in the bedroom.
