Synthesis of the partnership between Luceplan and Modular Lighting Instruments – both part of Philips group – the new space designed by the architect Amedeo G. Cavalchini becomes a reference point for professionals, architects, interior decorators and end users, representing an excellent opportunity for visibility and direct contact, where aesthetic and technological research, experimentation, innovation, functional quality and efficiency merge.

This is also the system of values that shapes the identity of Luceplan since its founding in 1978. Renewing the entrepreneurial spirit of its origins, today, the Luceplan catalogue contains an extensive, versatile range of lighting fixtures, with high standards of performance and aesthetics, crossing fields of applications and adapting to any usage need, any context: products that combine functional quality with the decorative appeal of architecture for the home, from the small to the large scale.

Founded in 1932 from an idea by Gio Ponti, FontanaArte is one of the Italian companies that have written the “history of lighting and furnishing” in Italy and around the world involving the most important architects and lighting designers who, together with the company, have built a cultural project on architecture, lighting and furnishings: timeless objects, with splendid shapes, some of which have become design classics on show in the most important museums around the world.

The New York showroom, renovated to plans by Italian architects Fabio Calvi and Paolo Brambilla, represents this world of elegance and lightness, a warm, cosy house in which to enjoy the beauty of light and designer furnishings together. Here FontanaArte unveils the prestigious 2015 collection in the vanguard both technically and aesthetically, born out of partnerships with world-renowned designers such as Karim Rashid who signes the Apex, Kinx and Flex collections.

Poliform, a luxury contemporary furniture company, has provided high quality interior products made exclusively in Italy since 1970. The company originated in the furniture district around Milan, starting with production of day systems and closets and gradually diversified the collection with systems and furnishings for any interior space including storage systems, wardrobes, kitchens, tables, chairs, armchairs, sofas, beds and many more.

Poliform USA provides turnkey service from the concept to the completion stage of a design project including all the necessary steps in between. Creation of technical drawings, finishes selection, rendering, as well as delivery and installation of the furniture is provided by Poliform USA design team in order to deliver the finest design solutions and experience.

Originally opened in 1996, Poliform flagship New York showroom is currently located in Architects and Designers building, taking up a whole 6th floor (about 12,000 square feet) and is updated every year, designed and styled by Poliform designers.

Flou NYC. 2014

December 4th 2002: Flou inaugurated its flagship store in New York, in the heart of Soho. Covering a total floor-space of 500 sq.m, the design of the showroom’s interiors preserved the district’s emblematic characteristics – the typical cast-iron columns, the brick walls, the visible copper piping, the doorways with their singular counterweight system and the large bulb-holders in white ceramic.

Founded by Rosario Messina in 1978, Flou introduced a new “culture of sleep,” producing beds of high intrinsic and formal quality. From the collaboration with Vico Magistretti, who designed Nathalie, an icon of the history of the modern bed, thanks to acclaimed designers Flou has continued to expand its collection, combining elegance, wellness and quality of life.

Today Flou is producing 50 different beds with fabric, leather, hide and other materials, mattresses, pillows, mattress supports, cover fabrics, bedlinen sets, and also a big range of sofas, armchairs, wardrobes and furniture accessories, which satisfy every requirement for living and sleeping quarters.

Opened in May 2010 and designed by Calvi Brambilla architects, the FLOS New York flagship store in SoHo offers the Italian lighting manufacturer’s line of residential and professional lighting in a way that feels more like a modern art museum than a store.
