The Architects’ Association of Treviso organizes, in collaboration with De Lucchi Workshop, an industrial design course conducted by Paolo De Lucchi, with the scientific direction of Alfonso Mayer. Organized in 10 lectures, on Wednesdays from 18.00 to 20.00, the course is aimed at architects, young creative talents, designers, freelance professionals and all those who want to approach the world of industrial design, specifically in the technical lighting sector. The lectures will address different themes, including methods of molding of metals, glass and plastics, techniques of working with different materials, and professional relationships between companies and designers. Through analysis of a company of reference on the Italian design scene, Light4and its four brands (ml, Vintage, Facon de Venise and Itama), students will be guided towards the design of new lamps to submit, in July 2014, to the company’s management, for possible production. With this goal, the last two lectures of the course will be structured as workshops, conducted by Brian Rasmussen, art director of LIGHT4 srl, including discussion, display and analysis of the projects. http://www.ordinearchitettitreviso.it.
