Jewelry Museum of Vicenza, 22 March – 2 September 2018
The genius of Gio’ Pomodoro in an exhibition at the Museo del Gioiello of Vicenza, a museum space inside the Basilica Palladiana.
The exhibition I gioielli di Gio’ Pomodoro: il segno e l’ornamento, curated by Paola Stroppiana, focuses on the great master from the Marches, a goldsmith, engraver, sculptor and set designer, one of the greatest of the 20th century.
The works on display include many jewels from private collections usually precluded from public view, and some pieces shown at the Guggenheim Museum in New York in 1994.
The tribute to Gio’ Pomodoro (Orciano di Pesaro, 1930 – Milan, 2002) presents a wide selection of his artistic output.
