The year’s first fair on interior furnishings

Cologne, Germany, 14-20 January 2019

Imm cologne is the year’s first fair on interior furnishings, an unrivaled reference point for the international market. It is joined by the biennial LivingKitchen, the international kitchen fair.

At Cologne, the international fair of interior furnishings presents furniture, complements and accessories for interior design, shedding light on trends, inspirations and moods for a visionary take on contemporary living.

On the whole, there are about 1300 exhibitors (70% from abroad); the delegation of Made in Italy is growing, bringing new collections, innovations and ideas. Famous names and interesting new entries, all with proposals of very high quality: furniture, lights and fabrics for interiors, trends and colors for the coming season, as well as avant-garde projects, smart home solutions and visionary concepts.

The Pure sections offer design in all its many forms: the excellence of interior design, high-tech products and experiments by talented young designers. The established format Das Haus Interiors on stage – 180 square meters set aside for the invention of the ideal house – will be curated this year by the Australian designers Kate and Joel Booy of Studio Truly Truly in Rotterdam. There are also the Pure Talents Contest and many events, with the participation of designers and experts to explore the decor of future domestic spaces and the latest developments in terms of forms, materials and colors.

Knoll will be one of the protagonists of the exhibition on the Bauhaus to celebrate the centenary of the famous school of architecture, art and design, whose impact continues to inspire designers and artists today. The same installation will also inlcude the Italian company Ghidini, a new entry at imm cologne

Around the city special events and spectacular formats liven up the week focused on interior design.
