The Milan Triennale presents a photographic exhibition by Niccolò Biddau, with the support of TenarisDalmine, Lanfranchi and Guala Closuresand in collaboration with Fondazione Dalmine and Museimpresa. 30 large black and white photographs, over 200 projected photographs and video, with important critical contributions and an interesting look behind the scenes make this voyage through Italian industry one of very evocative impact. From the many pictures taken in years of work with different Italian industrial firms, the selection includes images of: Alessi, Borsalino, Pirelli, FIAT, Magneti Marelli, Campagnolo, Italcementi, Campari, Dalmine, Marzotto, Missoni, Corneliani, Menabrea, Cassina, Zanotta, Mediaset, Mondadori, Telecom Italia and many others. The result is a thematic path in five sections: The object seen up close, and mass production; People: extreme technology and manual skill; 1900 vs 2000: factory vs robots; Industrial Architecture: plants and production lines; Returning forms: recognizable and unrecognizable. The photographs show how industry produces not just goods and services for the society, but also culture, i.e. values, through the forms of factories, landscape design, the complexity of technologies and the fascination of places of innovation. www.niccolobiddau.com www.triennale.org.
