In the striking setting of Museo Soumaya in Mexico City, Interni presented the special issue United Mexican Design and the Design Guide Mexico City/Milan at an evening event on 7 October.

The presentation was part of the celebrations for the first publishing initiatives produced by Interni on Mexico City.

Guests included Miguel Angel Mancera Espinosa (Jefe de Gobierno de la Ciudad de México/CDMX) and Alessandro Busacca (the Italian Ambassador to Mexico), Giuseppe Manenti (Director of ICE Mexico), Alfonso Miranda (Director of the Soumaya Museum). The editor of Interni, Gilda Bojardi, announced and explained the two publishing projects to an audience of over 500 people, including architects, designers and artists, from Ricardo Salas Moreno to Joel Escalona.

“The central focus is a city that is as big as a nation (with 21 million inhabitants), which we have attempted to interpret through its multiple artistic and design expressions,” Gilda Bojardi said.

Together with the issue United Mexican Design, Interni has also produced the Design Guide Mexico City/Milan, as a tool to discover works of architecture, neighborhoods and places: museums, galleries, schools, hotels and restaurants, all the way to stores offering the finest Italian design.
