The exhibition curated by Raffaella Perna at the Triennale presents a selection of over 150 photographs and photography books from Collezione Donata Pizzi, for a look at the most important figures on the Italian photography scene from the mid-1960s to the present.

The collection is composed of works by about 50 female photographers of different generations: from the pioneering work of Paola Agosti, Letizia Battaglia, Lisetta Carmi, Carla Cerati, Paola Mattioli, Marialba Russo, to the latest experimentation from the 1990s to 2015 of Marina Ballo Charmet, Silvia Camporesi, Monica Carocci, Gea Casolaro, Paola Di Bello, Luisa Lambri, Raffaella Mariniello, Marzia Migliora, Moira Ricci, Alessandra Spranzi and many others.

The show also features the installation Parlando con voi from the book of the same title by Giovanna Chiti and Lucia Covi (Danilo Montanari Editore), and produced thanks to an idea of Giovanni Gastel by AFIP International – Associazione Fotografi Professionisti e Metamorphosi Editrice.

The multimedia installation is composed of 30 screens, each with an exclusive interview with a woman photographer, and a sequence of her works and publications for a closer look at the careers of these outstanding talents.
