The annual week of design in London

London, 15-23 September 2018

The London Design Festival, the annual week of design in the city, reaches its 16th edition with a wide-ranging program of over 400 projects – events, installations and exhibitions – throughout the city, involving 300 partners.

Events returning to the Festival include 100% Design, Decorex International, Designjunction, Focus/18 and the London Design Fair. There are ten Design Districts, four more than in 2017.

The collaboration with V&A – Victoria and Albert Museum has now reached its 10th year. Once again the spaces of the museum will be transformed by striking site-specific installations by international designers, along with talks, tours and workshops.

Among the installations, MultiPly by the studio Waugh Thistleton Architects has been produced by AHEC American Hardwood Export Council with the engineers of ARUP  in the Sackler Courtyard at V&A.

The modular pavilion made with cross-laminated American tulipwood is formed by a series of interconnected spaces that overlap and intertwine, prompting visitors to rethink the way houses and cities are designed and built.

Interni organizes the encounter:

When you don’t design with the designer Martino Gamper and Johanna Agerman Ross, curator at V&A – Victoria and Albert Museum

Tuesday 18 September at 19.15, at the Italian Cultural Institute in London
