Thanks to the Premio Faenza, MIC Faenza  has the largest collection of Japanese ceramics outside Japan.

For the 150th anniversary of the start of Japan-Italy relations the Museo Internazionale delle ceramiche  presents the exhibition “Made in Japan. 20th-century Japanese ceramic sculpture in the collections of MIC,” curated by Claudia Casali.

One hundred of the finest works in the collection form an itinerary to narrate the history of Japanese 20th-century ceramic sculpture.

The show concludes with a photographic look at Japan today, through the series “Tokyo lost and found” by the artist Tomoko Goto.
