The first exhibition in Italy on the iconic Spanish couturier, in the spaces of the Pinacoteca and the Morando Attendolo Bolognini apartment in Palazzo Morando in Milan, features a fine selection of shoes (212 models) and drawings (80) covering 45 years of activity by the fashion designer. The exhibition Manolo Blahník. The Art of Shoes is an opportunity to see the finest footwear creations, veritable works of art that are made in the suburbs of Milan by companies with great craftsmanship and skill.

 

The show also addresses the influence of Italian art and culture on the works of this great stylist. From Greek-Roman sculpture to the Baroque, from the masterpiece of Luchino Visconti – The Leopard – to the corals of Sicily; all this and much more goes into the visionary shoes of Manolo Blahník.

 

The exhibition is divided into six sections that examine the constant and recurring themes in the career of Manolo Blahník.
