The exhibition at the Triennale on the complete oeuvre of the famous Milanese architect Mario Bellini is a voyage through almost 60 years of design, architecture, exhibition design and much more.

The retrospective opens exactly 30 years after the show on Bellini at MoMA New York in 1987, when he already had 25 pieces in the museum’s permanent design collection.

A tribute to an Italian master of the small scale (8 Compasso d’Oro awards, furniture and objects that have become icons, found in homes and offices all over the world, often in advance of various tastes and styles) and the large scale (convention centers, trade fairs, museums, in Japan and the USA, Germany and Australia, including the Department of Islamic Arts in 2012, a golden wave for the world’s most prestigious museum, the Louvre in Paris).

The curators of the show are Deyan Sudjic, with Ermanno Ranzani (architecture) and Marco Sammicheli (design). Video installations by 3D Produzioni with direction by Giovanni Piscaglia.
