Sanlorenzo, the nautical atelier founded in 1958 and the world’s second largest shipyard producing custom yachts over 24 meters in length, in collaboration with the art gallery Tornabuoni Arte, takes part in Art Basel Miami Beach 2016 (1-4 December).

Tornabuoni Arte, on board a Sanlorenzo SD112 (34 meters), will set up an exhibition on the Italian Monochrome, one of the fundamental themes of 20th-century painting, which developed during the same period as Cantieri Navali Sanlorenzo: hence the title of the show, “1958, the birth of two legends: the Italian Monochrome and Cantiere Sanlorenzo.”

Important works by the leading exponents of this movement form an artistic itinerary on board the yacht: Lucio Fontana, Enrico Castellani, Alberto Burri, Paolo Scheggi and Agostino Bonalumi.

The Sanlorenzo SD112 will be moored at the villa Casa Clara on the Venetian Islands, between Downtown and South Beach, a few minutes away from the Convention Cener where Art Basel Miami Beach takes place.

Open Yacht Days: Wednesday 30 November, 10.00-22.00 – Thursday 1 December, 10.00-22.00
