At the Fritz Hansen Store at corso Garibaldi 77, an exhibition by Tomoko Mizuthat reinterprets the Series 7 chair designed by Arne Jacobsenin 1955, creating a special limited edition of 12 pieces. The chairs, in the finishes maple, beech, ash, elm, oak, cherry, walnut and dark stained oak, have been reworked by the Japanese designer using age-old techniques of gilding and inlay work. The skilled hands of two craftsmen in Milan (west) meet the north of Denmark, the company’s location, through the delicate aesthetics of Japan (east). Italian craftsmanship meets the Japanese sensibility linked to nature, in chairs made with fine natural wood, with timeless design from the Fritz Hansen collection.
