No to pasta, the “absurd Italian gastronomic religion,” no to forks and knives, yes to vitamins, juicers, machines.

In keeping with the tenets of Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, the author – together with the painter Fillia (alias Luigi Colombo) – of La cucina futurista, the unique gastronomical manifesto published in 1932.

 

Their non-conformist table has inspired the works of 22 illustrators from all over the world. The exhibition, entitled “Pranzo improvvisato,” gathers the works of international artists, free interpretations of a recipe from that manual, shown as prints in the exhibition and made with the typefaces of the archive of Tipografia Fratelli Bonvini of Milan.
